Occupational First Aid Skill Set
This skill set has previously been referred to as an occupational first aid course and includes three units of competency which required to be an occupational first aid officer within the workplace.
This skill set has been endorsed by industry as appropriate for people who are either employed in, or intending to become employed in, nominated occupational first aider roles.
- 36 hours face-to-face
- 24 hours face-to-face with the completion of pre-course eLearning
Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:
HLTAID001 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid
HLTAID006 – Provide Advanced First Aid
HLTAID007 – Provide Advanced Resuscitation
HLTAID008 – Manage First Aid Services and Resources
It is recommended by the ARC that the first aid components of this course be refreshed every three years and the resuscitation component be refreshed on an annual basis.
There are no prerequisites for this course.

Is a USI (Unique Student Identifier) Required?
Yes, a USI must be obtained in order to receive a Statement of Attainment as this is a nationally recognised unit of competency.
