Infection Control
This workshop describes the skills and knowledge required to follow organisational infection control and prevention procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks.
There are a number of diseases that are spread through contact, droplet or airborne transmission. How frequently do you wash your hands, clean surfaces or use personal protective equipment to stop the spread of germs? You can help break this cycle by implementing good infection prevention and control practices which will help to reduce the risk of spreading an infection or disease from one person to another. Here are just some of the diseases that can easily be transferred:
- Flu
- Chicken Pox
- Measles
- Tuberculosis (TB)
This workshop applies to individuals working in health and direct client-care contexts.
